Both Gwrhyd and Marshalls group have been involved in many award winning schemes due to the high quality materials and their work with designers.
In 2008, Gwrhyd supplied Knightstone Island in Weston Super Mare which went on to win the World Regeneration Project of the year.
A garden featuring Gwrhyd’s pennant stone was awarded the silver medal at RHS Chelsea flower show.
In 2008, Gwrhyd Stone was used in the construction of Blackwood interchange Bus Station which was voted the best building in Wales 2008 by CLAW.
Our flagship project so far has been the state of the art shopping centre at Broadmead in Bristol, where there is now over 4000m2 of Gwrhyd riven flagstone.
In 2002, Gwrhyd were proud to receive The YDCW Rural Wales award for care of the local environment, proudly presented by the Post Office.
Gwrhyd also received a RICS Wales regeneration Award in 2008, as well as a Roy Edwards award in 2008.
Gwrhyd has supplied many award winning self builds and in 2006 received RSAW housing association awards.
Another recent project that Gwrhyd has supplied is Blaenavon. Other local projects include the entrance to Ammanford, The Heads of the Valley Bypass and Aberdulais Falls.
Most recently, Gwrhyd is supplying the Coed Darcy development at Llandarcy, the new shopping complex in Carmarthen, Parc Coetir in Bargoed as well as many self builds in the area.
